The Center for Ignatian灵性 at 电子游戏软件 was founded in 1998, the result of a generous gift of $2 million from the Jesuit Community, which is to be matched by the University. The Center 服务s as a resource to explore and enhance the ethical and religious environment of the University.

 

The 任务 of the Center

  • To 沟通 to members of the 电子游戏软件 社区 the vision and history of the University's Jesuit mission and the spirituality of St. Ignatius Loyola which is the foundation of that mission. With other members of the University 社区, we pay particular attention to serving the critical importance of the integration of the intellectual, 社会, and religious formation of our students, and to the University's commitment to uniting academic achievement with the service of faith and the promotion of justice;
  • To 协助 members of the University 社区, especially 教师 and 管理员, to reflect on and understand more deeply the meaning of our Jesuit mission, and to help integrate that vision in their own areas of responsibility at 电子游戏软件;
  • To 提供 the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola in appropriate forms to 教师, 管理员, 和工作人员, and to support individuals and groups in their own spiritual journey: through 撤退, one-on-one conversations, 精神方向, 研讨会, 讲座, 还有讨论小组; 
  • To 服务 as a resource for the University 社区 in promoting conversation about the Jesuit mission and its relationship with culture and with other religious traditions, thus enhancing the human and religious environment of 电子游戏软件; and,
  • To 提供 the resources of the Center to other Jesuit schools and universities, and to dialogue with and learn from their experiences.
